To connect to a SQL Server datasource, the button or menu item on the top of the application, named Open Solution and you can do either of the following:

• New - If you wish to create a new connection to a database, click the Connect button in the New Project/Existing Project window. This will open up a connection builder screen, where you can create your connection. See image below:

• Existing - Every time you create a database connection, the connection is saved to a connection file, and all previous connections are shown here in the Existing projects window. To connect to one of them, click on the required connection, then click the Open button. See image Below:
